Brothers and Sisters of Lodge 14:

Greetings and I hope you are all doing well during these unprecedented times.

Attorney Blake Dunbar has drafted an easy to understand memorandum of the recently enacted federal legislation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic-related modifications to the FMLA and Sick Leave regulations. Please click on the link below to read the memorandum.

Please take the time to review the memorandum. This should be very helpful to any of our membership being faced with COVID-19 labor issues, which have been recently occurring in some of our departments.

If your department is faced with any COVID-19 related FMLA or sick leave problems, and you are unsure how to handle them, please use the legal aid hot line to request advice on the issue. It appears that some of our employers are unaware of the new regulations involved.

Fraternally,

Bill Buttenbusch
